Engineering Manager & Project Manager
In 2011, I came to Japan from Myanmar with the goal of growing as an IT engineer. Initially, I struggled with the Japanese language and cultural differences, but believing that 'communication skills are as important as technical skills to work as an engineer in Japan,' I committed to balancing Japanese language acquisition with technical learning. After arriving in Japan, I studied at a Japanese language school and an IT vocational school, and passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 in my fourth year in Japan.
From my second year at vocational school, I participated in a long-term internship at CaSy Inc., where I experienced team development, source code management, and forward-looking design and implementation. It was during this time that I began to focus not on individual achievements, but on maximizing the overall team's results.
During my student years, I gained experience in supporting roles within teams, and learned that creating an environment where members of different positions, ages, and experience levels can work with peace of mind ultimately leads to better outcomes. This value continues to be consistently reflected in my current management approach.
After graduation, I joined Aucfan Co., Ltd., and participated as an engineer in multiple development projects, including the launch phase of in-house services. As a fullstack software engineer, in addition to coding, I experienced architecture design, DevOps, cloud infrastructure operations, and involvement in recruitment, gaining a comprehensive view of service development. Through implementation, I understood the entire system and always developed with awareness of 'why this specification?' and 'how will it be expanded in the future?' In my second year at the company, I received a departmental award.
Later, I was entrusted with leading the development team in Vietnam, serving as a bridge between Japan and Vietnam. I explained specifications, conducted reviews, and managed progress in English, building trust while adjusting for differences in culture and values. To maintain and improve my English skills, I used online English conversation (RareJob) and continued studying for 30 minutes every day for about 5 years.
After serving as a project leader and then being entrusted with entire projects as a project manager, I directly communicated with clients and was responsible for requirements definition and specification organization. What I always kept in mind was the perspective of 'can engineers develop without strain and with a sense of conviction?' Through trial and error and repeated failures, I continued to improve, achieving stable operations with minimal rework and troubles, and received awards including the President's Award in 2019.
Later, wanting to be more deeply involved in organizational development and human resource development, I transferred to eyepin, founded by a trusted supervisor from my Aucfan days. At eyepin, I was involved in establishing and operating a local subsidiary in Myanmar, managing an engineering organization of up to approximately 20 people. In addition to recruitment, training, role design, and evaluation, I was also involved in management aspects such as KPI formulation and cash flow management, driving results from both organizational and business perspectives. I prioritized psychological safety within a multinational team and built an environment where engineers could grow proactively.
However, with changes in the hiring environment and the rapid advancement of AI technology, the local subsidiary decided to cease operations. In May 2026, I joined Mitsumoa Corporation, where I work in the Customer Success team of the ProOne Division. Focused on enterprise onboarding, adoption, and impact measurement, I bring together all my experience in implementation, project management, and engineering management to drive real business value.
